A brit mag\u00e1nt\u00e1rsas\u00e1gok \u00f6nk\u00e9nyuralma ut\u00e1n r\u00f6vid n\u00e9met, majd hosszabb portug\u00e1l fennhat\u00f3s\u00e1g k\u00f6vetkezett \u00e9s az 1975-\u00f6s f\u00fcggetlens\u00e9g nem valami szebb j\u00f6v\u0151, hanem egy \u00e9vtizedes puszt\u00edt\u00f3 polg\u00e1rh\u00e1bor\u00fa kezdete lett. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ut\u00f3bbi pedig nem k\u00edm\u00e9lt senkit \u00e9s semmit: nemcsak az ember\u00e9letek v\u00e1ltak be\u00e1ldozhat\u00f3 n\u00fcanszokk\u00e1, hanem az \u00e1llati \u00e9letek is, k\u00fcl\u00f6n\u00f6sen akkor, ha a puszta h\u00fasut\u00e1np\u00f3tl\u00e1son k\u00edv\u00fcl esetleg b\u00e1rmi egy\u00e9b anyagi haszon is sz\u00e1rmazhatott az adott \u00e9l\u0151l\u00e9ny lel\u00f6v\u00e9s\u00e9b\u0151l. Tal\u00e1n semmi sem p\u00e9ld\u00e1zza azt jobban, mint a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gorongosa_National_Park\">Gorongosa Nemzeti Parkban<\/a> \u00e9l\u0151 elef\u00e1ntpopul\u00e1ci\u00f3 t\u00f6rt\u00e9nete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Nemzeti Park maga a <a href=\"https:\/\/hu.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nagy-hasad\u00e9kv\u00f6lgy\">Nagy-hasad\u00e9kv\u00f6lgy<\/a> d\u00e9li v\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9l elhelyezked\u0151 ter\u00fclet, ami m\u00e1r a 1960-as \u00e9vek \u00f3ta nemzeti parkk\u00e9nt m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00f6tt \u00e9s p\u00e1ratlan fajgazdags\u00e1ga miatt a mozambiki f\u00fcggetlens\u00e9g hajnal\u00e1ra m\u00e9lt\u00e1n vil\u00e1gh\u00edr\u0171 lett. A polg\u00e1rh\u00e1bor\u00fa azt\u00e1n ezt a p\u00e1ratlan faj- \u00e9s egyedgazdags\u00e1got teljesen elt\u00fcntette: az \u00e1llom\u00e1nyuk sz\u00e1zad, vagy ezredr\u00e9sz\u00fckre zsugorodtak \u00e9s egyes fajok (pl. zebra \u00e9s oroszl\u00e1n) gyakorlatilag kipusztultak ezen a ter\u00fcleten. Az elef\u00e1nt popul\u00e1ci\u00f3 ehhez k\u00e9pest szinte szerencs\u00e9snek mondhat\u00f3, hiszen \u201ccsak\u201d 90%-os cs\u00f6kken\u00e9st k\u00f6nyvelhetett el \u00e9s az 1972-es 2542 egyed helyett 2000-re 242 \u00e1llatot lehetett m\u00e9g fellelni. Ez m\u00e1r \u00f6nmag\u00e1ban is azt sugallja, hogy elk\u00e9pzelhet\u0151, hogy egy X kromosz\u00f3m\u00e1hoz k\u00f6t\u00f6tt tulajdons\u00e1gr\u00f3l van sz\u00f3, amelynek agyartalnas\u00e1got okoz\u00f3 all\u00e9ja (nevezz\u00fck ezt <em>X<sup>D<\/sup><\/em>-nek) h\u00edmek eset\u00e9ben let\u00e1lis. Ha \u00edgy van akkor az azt is jelenten\u00e9, hogy az agyartalan n\u0151st\u00e9nyek pedig <em>X<sup>+<\/sup>X<sup>D<\/sup><\/em> genot\u00edpus\u00faak. Az eddigi vizsg\u00e1latok arra voltak elegend\u0151ek, hogy az X kromosz\u00f3ma egy bizonyos szakasz\u00e1ra le lehessen sz\u0171k\u00edteni a keres\u00e9st. Itt egy <em>AMELX<\/em> nev\u0171, a fog-fejl\u0151d\u00e9sben szerepet j\u00e1tsz\u00f3 g\u00e9n tal\u00e1lhat\u00f3. Ut\u00f3bbi a zom\u00e1ncfejl\u0151d\u00e9sben szerepet j\u00e1tsz\u00f3 amelogenin nev\u0171 feh\u00e9rj\u00e9t k\u00f3dolja \u00e9s emberekben az ezt tartalmaz\u00f3 r\u00e9gi\u00f3 del\u00e9ci\u00f3ja egy zom\u00e1nck\u00e9pz\u0151d\u00e9si probl\u00e9m\u00e1kkal j\u00e1r\u00f3 <a href=\"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/rare-diseases\/amelogenesis-imperfecta\/\">Amelogenesis Imperfecta<\/a> nev\u0171 ritka betegs\u00e9get okoz, valamint &#8211; nem mellesleg &#8211; h\u00edm letalit\u00e1st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A genom t\u00f6bbi r\u00e9sz\u00e9t is megn\u00e9zve, m\u00e9g l\u00e1that\u00f3 szelekci\u00f3 nyoma az autoszom\u00e1lis (vagyis nem nemi kromosz\u00f3m\u00e1n lev\u0151) <em>MEP1A<\/em> g\u00e9n k\u00f6rny\u00e9k\u00e9n is, amely egy dentin mineraliz\u00e1ci\u00f3ban l\u00e9nyeges faktort hoz l\u00e9tre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mivel a konkr\u00e9t mut\u00e1ci\u00f3t m\u00e9g nem tal\u00e1lt\u00e1k meg, bizonyoss\u00e1gr\u00f3l nem besz\u00e9lhet\u00fcnk, de jelenleg az t\u0171nik a legval\u00f3sz\u00edn\u0171nek, hogy az elef\u00e1nt-agyar ir\u00e1nti kereslet egy olyan mesters\u00e9ges szelekci\u00f3s mechanizmust hozott l\u00e9tre, ahol az agyartalan elef\u00e1ntok szelekci\u00f3s el\u0151nyh\u00f6z jutottak \u00e9s \u00edgy a popul\u00e1ci\u00f3ban addig csak kis m\u00e9rt\u00e9kben jelen lev\u0151 mut\u00e1ci\u00f3 egy ideig domin\u00e1nss\u00e1 tudott v\u00e1lni. A polg\u00e1rh\u00e1bor\u00fa v\u00e9ge \u00e9s a nemzeti park helyzet\u00e9nek javul\u00e1sa lehet\u0151v\u00e9 tette, hogy a term\u00e9szetes szelekci\u00f3 &#8222;vegye ism\u00e9t k\u00e9zbe\u201d az all\u00e9l-gyakoris\u00e1gok szab\u00e1lyoz\u00e1s\u00e1t \u00e9s tal\u00e1n pont ennek is k\u00f6sz\u00f6nhet\u0151, hogy ism\u00e9t az agyarakkal rendelkez\u0151 \u00e1llatok ker\u00fcltek t\u00f6bbs\u00e9gbe. (Nem z\u00e1rhat\u00f3 ui. ki, hogy az <em>X<sup>D<\/sup><\/em> mut\u00e1ci\u00f3nak egy\u00e9b olyan hat\u00e1sai is vannak, amelyek a r\u00e1termetts\u00e9get cs\u00f6kkentik &#8211; a cikkb\u0151l sajnos nem der\u00fcl ki p\u00e9ld\u00e1ul, hogy az agyartalan n\u0151st\u00e9nyek fogai is jobban megvisel\u0151dnek-e.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Gorongosa Nemzeti Park egy\u00e9bk\u00e9nt az\u00e9rt is \u00e9rdekes, mert az eg\u00e9sz t\u00f6rt\u00e9nete rem\u00e9nykelt\u0151, hogy egy kis odafigyel\u00e9ssel teljes \u00f6kosziszt\u00e9m\u00e1kat vissza lehet hozni a megsemmis\u00fcl\u00e9s hat\u00e1r\u00e1r\u00f3l.
